Walking for Health-Free Guided Walks

Why is walking so good for you?

  • It has great health benefits
  • It improves your confidence and energy
  • Its free and easy
  • No special equipment is needed
  • You can start slowly
  • It's sociable

The Walking for Health scheme offers regular guided walks in Church Stretton and the surrounding areas.

  • Led by trained walk leaders
  • In small groups
  • Gentle walks - perfect if you are recovering from illness
  • An opportunity to meet people and make friends
  • Different walks for different abilities
  • A leader at the front and back so you'll never get left behind or be too slow

For further details, to volunteer as a walk leader or if you are interested in starting a walk in your area contact the Walking for Health Co-ordinator, Ian Pearmain ian.walkingforhealth@googlemail.com or by telephone 01694 722077.
