August 2010. To raise funds for Mayfair, Charles Simmonds is undertaking this World Classic Walk crossing 12 major passes around Mont blanc - 10 days, 120 miles, 33,000 feet of ascent. Call in at Mayfair for a sponsorship form.

Batches and Hollows of the Mynd

Explore in pictures the uniqueness of the batches and hollows of the Mynd.Then take a bus tour to see the spectacular heather moorland. See how the underlying geology has affected the plants and wildlife. Tea and cakes will be served. No walking required and transport fully accessible.

The Wild Mynd

A slide show and bus tour explloring the impact of seasons and landscape on the wild inhabitants of the Mynd. Based on the ever popular book 'Wild Mynd' which was the result of several years of intensive fieldwork and research by the Long Mynd Breeding Bird Project, ecologists and volunteers from the National Trust.
Tea and cakes will be served. No walking required and transport fully accessible.
