The Beacon is part of Mayfair Community Centre. The Centre’s facilities provide services, support, activities and information for the local community.
The Beacon is currently open for pre-booked sessions on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10am – 4pm. Alternative events and activities are provided on Tuesdays.
All staff are fully trained and qualified to help meet your individual care and support needs and to support your family.
The Beacon has a varied activity programme to encourage mental and physical health and wellbeing within its caring and supportive environment. Staff can also help you to access Mayfair’s other activities.
We offer a FREE half day visit to enable you to ask questions and see if we could support you in the way you wish. We encourage friends or family members to come with you initially, especially while you are settling in.

People usually come for half days or whole days, but timings can be flexible to meet your needs.
You may be able to come to the Beacon using our door to door transport service, Ring and Ride.
In some circumstances you may be eligible for funding towards the cost of your care, or entitled to attendance allowance or similar. Please contact the Adult Social Care Team to discuss this on 0345 6789044.
Supported bathing is available, for an additional charge, in our spotlessly clean Parker bath with optional whirlpool experience. Staff are trained to give as much or as little help as required to allow you to relax in peace.
A full day at the Beacon can include a choice of high quality hot 2 course meal in our conservatory dining room
We can provide support and advice to carers and families, as well as providing respite for the day. Carers are invited to all our extra activities and events.
