The Beacon is currently open for pre-booked sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 10am–4pm.
Alternative events and activities are provided on Tuesdays.
All staff are fully trained and qualified to help meet your individual care and support needs, and to support your family.
Based in Church Stretton’s Mayfair Community Centre, the Beacon has a varied activity programme to encourage mental and physical health and wellbeing within a caring and supportive environment. Staff can also help you to access Mayfair’s other activities.
We offer a FREE half-day visit to enable you to ask questions and see if we could support you in the way that you wish. We encourage friends or family members to come with you initially, especially while you are settling in.

People usually come for half days or whole days, but timings can be flexible to meet your needs.
You may be able to travel to the Beacon using our door-to-door transport service, Ring & Ride.
In some circumstances you may be entitled to an attendance allowance or eligible for funding towards the cost of your care. To discuss this, please contact the Adult Social Care Team on 0345 6789044.
Supported bathing is available. For an additional charge, Beacon guests can enjoy our spotlessly clean Parker bath with optional whirlpool experience. Staff are trained to give as much or as little help as required to allow you to relax in peace.
A full day at the Beacon can include a two-course meal. Beacon guests can choose from a selection of hot meals on offer and enjoy their food in our conservatory dining room.
We can provide support and advice to carers and families, as well as providing respite for the day. Carers are invited to all our extra activities and events.
