MAYSI – Mayfair Supporting Independence

What is MAYSI?

MAYSI is a service provided by Mayfair Community Centre. As the name suggests, it exists to help people to remain independent. It does this by providing relevant information and support. This could be information on how to access benefits, advice on equipment or care, or suggestions of social opportunities to aid health and wellbeing.

Who is MAYSI for?

Although based in Mayfair in Church Stretton, MAYSI also covers the areas around Craven Arms and Dorrington. If you live in these areas and are finding it hard to cope with everyday tasks, feel lonely, need company, are just out of hospital, caring for a friend or relative, not able to get out and do the things you want or having difficulty applying for benefits for which you’re eligible, then give us a call.If you are finding it hard to cope with everyday tasks, feeling lonely, need company, are just out of hospital, caring for a friend or relative, not able to get out and do the things you want and wondering what may be available, then give us a call. We will listen to you, help to identify your needs, offer choices, put you in touch with relevant services and support.
