On Saturday 22 May, local shanty group The Lower Deckers will be performing two outdoor concerts to raise money for Mayfair.
If you’ve been feeling a little landlocked over lockdown, this is your chance to break out and experience adventure on the high seas. The Lower Deckers will be entertaining us with their repertoire of shanties, sea songs and folk songs.
There will be a matinee performance at 3pm and an evening show at 6.30pm. Tickets are £5. There are limited tickets available so pop into Mayfair to reserve yours or call us on 01694 722077. To get us in the seaside spirit, fish and chips will be available for an extra £5 a head.
The Lower Deckers have been touring and performing since 2017. The group is made up of Neil, Gaynor, Paul, Marie, Tom and Mayfair’s own old sea dog, Ken. To find out more and watch some of their performances, visit their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/191439294788502
The small print: All ticket sales go towards supporting Mayfair and its work within the Strettons community. In line with Covid guidelines, this is an outdoor event with limited ticket sales. In the case of bad weather, the events will be cancelled and refunds issued.
