What experience do I need to join a class?

Apart from for the intermediate and advanced art class held on Friday afternoons, no experience is necessary to join any of our classes.

Who teaches the classes?

Some of our tutors are volunteers, some are private tutors.

Will I be able to keep up?

Most classes contain groups of mixed ability, and everyone learns and works at their own pace. As well as picking up new craft skills, you’ll find yourself in convivial company, so enjoy yourself. It’s not a race.

Where are the classes held?

Most classes take place in our Art Room on the first floor of the Mayfair Centre. A lift is available for those who find stairs difficult.

Look out for one-off classes, workshops and community art projects. These will be publicised on the What’s on page, on our Facebook page and in our newsletters.

A crèche is available for the use of those with childcare needs.

Free Wednesday craft sessions in our Art Room in Mayfair Community Centre.
A drop-in space for anyone to pop in, try different crafts and meet new people.
